Notes from Becky Wasserman Co.:
"The name of this lieu-dit comes from a traditional Burgundian word to describe a vineyard surface that a man could hoe in a day. North of village, upper slope, borders the southern side of Bonnes Marres. Planted in 1960
100% de-stemmed, 15 to 20 days ambient yeast fermentation and maceration in open wooden vats. Aged for 18 months in barrel (15% new oak). Racked twice. Transferred in April to stainless steel tanks to age for 3 additional months. Bottled in June-July. SO2 additions before fermentation and before bottling."
Wine Advocate:
“The 2024 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Fuées unfurls in the glass with notes of raspberries, wild blueberries, petals and spices. Medium- to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, it's dense and textural, framed by powdery structuring tannins.” (William Kelley)
