Founded in 1962, Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery is the historic pioneer of the Finger Lakes "Vinifera Revolution," proving that world-class European grape varieties could thrive in New York's cold climate. Now managed by the fourth generation of the Frank family, the estate cultivates 140 acres of vines, including some of the oldest active Riesling and Chardonnay blocks in the United States. Their flagship dry Riesling dynamically captures this regional heritage by blending fruit sourced from two distinct, sustainably dry-farmed estate properties. The blend incorporates grapes from the original, shallow-soiled Keuka Lake home vineyard—first planted in 1958—alongside fruit from their warmer Seneca Lake estate located in Hector, New York. This strategic sourcing utilizes the unique mesoclimates of both lakes to deliver a final wine celebrated for its profound aromatic complexity, crisp acidity, and signature stony minerality.
