Founded in 2016 by Camille Thiriet and Matt Chittick, Domaine Camille Thiriet is a rising star in Burgundy that began as a "garage" project with no electricity or running water. Based in Comblanchien, the estate has grown to roughly six hectares of vines, emphasizing organic farming and meticulous, hands-on production including horse-plowing and manual labeling. Camille, who was originally drawn to perfumery, brings an intuitive and sensory-focused approach to her winemaking, utilizing native yeasts and minimal sulfur to produce wines known for their purity and aromatic complexity.
A blend of parcels in Comblanchien and Corgoloin, combining complementary terroirs. Fermented with around 50% whole clusters and long, gentle infusions, resulting in a vibrant and expressive style.
Jasper Morris:
"80% whole bunches for the Cuvée Deslandes. Not the deepest crimson purple. Camille talks of “the nose of Comblanchien”. Certainly, this shows a savoury aspect with graceful red berry fruit. Discreet at the front, building beautifully behind. Drink from 2027-2030. "
