Notes from the producer:

"The vineyards of the Gracciano Estate, owned by the della Seta Ferrari Corbelli Greco family, cover about 20 ha. Gracciano is one of the historic crus of Montepulciano. The average altitude is 300-350 m.a.s.l and the soil is mainly silty and clay: clay is prevalent in some parts and sand in others. This area is particularly suitable for growing grape vines, especially of the varieties that are used in the Vino Nobile blend. The Prugnolo Gentile variety reveals its full potential through a slow and complete ageing process, helped by good ventilation, the fluctuation between day and night temperatures and excellent exposure. Late frosts and hail storms are rare in the area."
