Recaredo is a family-owned winery founded in 1924 in the heart of the Penedes region of Catalonia, Spain. They specialize exclusively in long-aged, vintage Brut Nature sparkling wines, with zero added sugar, allowing the pure expression of the Penedès terroir to shine through. A pioneer in sustainable practices, Recaredo was the first producer in the region to be certified biodynamic, employing entirely manual methods from vineyard to disgorgement, this later lead to the formation of Corpinnat which features like-minded growers. The Recaredo 'Intens' Rosat Brut Nature 2020 is made exclusively from the Monastrell grape variety. The winery was unable to use their usual Garnacha grapes for the 2020 vintage due to a crop loss from mildew that year, making this a single-varietal sparkling wine.
