"It was a bottle of Sicilian wine that inspired me to take my first steps in the wine business. It's a region that's near & dear to my heart and while my dive into the wine industry has led me to many an appellation, these wines always feel like home.

Arianna Occhipinti is perhaps the island's biggest star and her wines are the perfect guide to modern Sicily. SP68 is the name of the road in Vittoria that leads to Arianna's estate and also the name of both red and white cuvées, each made from younger vines and meant to show off Occhipinti's fresh, fruity and vibrant house style.

Today, we offer you this opportunity to take the SP68 route with the following specially priced 2 pack from her newly released 2023 vintage. Each of these brilliantly highlight both the truly unique mineral composition of Vittoria, and Arianna's magical touch."

-Sergio

The 2 pack includes:

2021 Occhipinti, SP68 Bianco Terre Siciliane IGT - Sicily, Italy
This bianco is comprised of 60% Zibibbo and 40% Albanello vines that sit over chalky and sandy soils. Destemmed, co-fermented and aged for 6 months in concrete tanks. Farming is biodynamic.

Impressions: Highly aromatic with notes of gardenias, grapefruit skin, lychee, and oregano. The palate steals the show with a thriving acidity that keeps pace with a gorgeous mineral-driven juicy texture and a saline undertone. The finish is crisp, citrusy and salty with exit notes of white flowers and sea breeze.

2021 Occhipinti, SP68 Rosso Terre Siciliane IGT - Sicly, Italy
A blend of 70% Frappato and 30% Nero d'Avola vines that sit over chalky and sandy soils. Destemmed, co-fermented and aged for 6 months in concrete tanks. Farming is biodynamic.

Impressions: This wine captures the sunny side of Sicily beautifully. Enticing notes of raspberry tea, pluots, maitakes, and green peppercorns leap from the glass. An energetic acidity easily sways its mineral-rich silky texture before descending on a velvet-like tannic touch. The finish is fruity with a slightly smoky, briny and peppery character.
