Founded in 1880 by Adriano Ramos Pinto, this historic Port house quickly became known for its innovative marketing and artistic posters that defined the "Golden Age" of the Douro. The winery distinguishes itself by owning over 80% of its vineyards, including the prestigious Quinta do Bom Retiro and Quinta da Ervamoira, allowing for total control over grape quality. Today, Ramos Pinto is celebrated for its commitment to traditional treading in granite lagares combined with modern viticultural research, consistently producing elegant, fruit-forward wines. Since 1990, it has been part of the Roederer Collection, maintaining its legacy as a pioneer in Douro Valley viticulture.
