Founded in 1880 by brothers Adriano and António, Ramos Pinto is a historic Douro Valley estate renowned for blending traditional Portuguese winemaking with pioneering viticultural research. Now part of the prestigious Roederer collection, the house maintains complete control over its harvest by sourcing grapes exclusively from its four self-owned wine estates. Among their innovative portfolio is the Ramos Pinto Lágrima White Port, celebrated as the sweetest style of white Port produced in the region. Crafted from classic varieties like Codega and Malvasia Fina, this dense, golden nectar earns its name—meaning "tears"—from the rich, honeyed legs that cling to the glass. It offers a luscious palate of ripe stone fruits and nuts, perfectly balanced by a fresh acidity that makes it ideal for chilling or mixing into cocktails.

Winemaking
The fermentation is stopped early by adding clear grape brandy, which preserves a high amount of the grapes' natural sugars. The wine is then aged for a minimum of three years in seasoned oak casks.
