Peter Lauer is a renowned, family-run estate located in Ayl along Germany’s Saar River that is celebrated for its natural, old-vine Rieslings. The "Senior" cuvée is a benchmark bottling named after current winemaker Florian Lauer’s grandfather, Peter, who reserved his favorite cask for personal consumption. Sourced entirely from old vines in the Grand Cru Ayler Kupp vineyard, the wine is fermented with wild yeasts in traditional large oak casks. It is crafted in the classic feinherb (off-dry) style, balancing rich fruit and mineral complexity with the region's signature electric acidity.
