Since 2021, longtime friends Romain Dupont and Guillaume Bellon have made wine under the Domaine Les Aricoques label from their 4.8-hectare property in Frangy, Haute-Savoie. The estate, located at 500 meters altitude with southern exposure, is in the process of organic conversion and is planted with local varieties, including Gamay and Mondeuse. For the Pan! Le Rouze cuvée, they supplement their own estate-grown fruit from moraine glacial soils with purchased organic Gamay grapes from the Anse region, which has clay-limestone soils. This unique blend of vineyards results in a wine that is both concentrated from the poor estate soil and fresh from the additional sourcing.
