Domaine Jean-François Ganevat is a legendary estate in the Jura village of Rotalier, where the Ganevat family has been tending vines since the 17th century. After years of training in Burgundy, Jean-François returned home in 1998 to transition the property to biodynamic farming and champion the region’s diverse indigenous varieties. The winery is renowned for its fanatical attention to detail, often producing over 40 different cuvées in a single vintage to express the nuances of individual micro-terroirs. Each wine is crafted with a non-interventionist approach, utilizing native yeasts and extended aging in neutral oak with no sulfur additions. For the "Antide" cuvée, the wine is sourced from old Savagnin vines—some up to 80 years old—planted across diverse plots of gray, white, and blue marl in the communes of Rotalier and Vercia.
