Welcome to this volcanic, low-intervention winemaking, earning a coveted 3 Bicchieri from Gambero Rosso for this tiny 4,500-bottle production. Sourced from certified biodynamic, ungrafted-stature 100% Fiano vines grown at 200 meters on the loose, tuff-rich sandy slopes of Campania’s extinct Roccamonfina volcano, this skin-contact white undergoes spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts and spends roughly a month macerating on its skins in terracotta amphorae. It rests for another year in clay before being bottled unfined and unfiltered with zero structural additions and minimal SO2.
The resulting orange wine pours a deep golden-amber, delivering a highly technical and textural palate where bruised yellow orchard fruit, mandarin peel, and dried botanicals meet a dense, phenolic mouthfeel, all driven by a piercing, high-acid backbone and a intensely saline, smoky volcanic-mineral finish built for serious cellar aging or complex food pairings.
