About the producer, from Wein-Bauer:
"For 4 generations, the secrets of the art of winemaking have been passed on from father to son. This created a very special bond with this piece of earth and the fruits it produces. Since 1994, Reinhard Waldschütz has been in charge of the 35-hectare family winery as a trained winegrower and cellar master. His son Markus, who joined the winery after many notable apprenticeships such as Au Bon Climat, has been using his skills and experience in his parents' business since 2010. Together with his family, Reinhard Waldschütz succeeds year after year in creating natural, fruity, fresh wines with a taste typical of the region. The assortment ranges from Grüner Veltliner and Riesling to Sauvignon Blanc."
Flor Impressions:
Yes, there is still room for crisp, refreshing whites this season, better yet there is a liter's worth here. Notes of lime zest, white flowers and almond blossoms fill the glass. The palate is lean and racy with a juicy texture that descends towards a dry, citrusy finish.
