Notes from Polaner Selections:
Roberto Conterno is known for his unmatched attention to detail as well as his incredible work ethic as he continues to raise the bar on every minute detail of the viticultural and winemaking process at this esteemed estate. In addition to the outstanding Baroli made by Giacomo Conterno, there is also Barbera d’Alba produced from estate-owned vineyards in the crus of Cascina Francia and Cerretta. The Barbera are aged two years in large botti and are some of the most age-worthy and brilliant examples of this underrated grape to be found in Piemonte.
