Bodegas El Maestro Sierra was founded in 1830 by José Antonio Sierra, a master cooper who established the estate as a highly respected almacenista in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. The historical boutique bodega remains deeply rooted in tradition, aging its premium Sherries in centuries-old American oak casks utilizing the classic, undisturbed solera system. Today, the estate is proudly woman-led by Dr. Carmen Borrego Pla and winemaker Ana Cabestrero, maintaining its position as one of the region's finest artisanal producers. Their labels still feature the original, satirical drawing of a fox being hunted by noblemen, honoring the founder's fierce independent spirit against the 19th-century wine aristocracy.
