Domaine Mee Godard is a highly-regarded winery in the Morgon appellation of Beaujolais, founded by Mee Godard in 2013. Godard, who trained in oenology in both the US and France, acquired five hectares of old vines in premier climats (vineyard sites) like Corcelette and Côte du Py. Her winemaking philosophy centers on creating structured, ageable vin de garde wines that express the unique terroir of Morgon. She employs organic farming practices and a blend of traditional Burgundian and semi-carbonic maceration techniques to achieve complex, elegant wines.

The 'Corcelette' Morgon is sourced from a single vineyard site in the north of the Morgon Cru, known for its distinct sandy and granite soils. The vines, which average 70 years old and are densely planted, grow on south-east-facing slopes, which helps produce an elegant, structured, and mineral-driven wine.

Winemaking
2 to 3 week maceration period in concrete tanks, typically with a high proportion of whole clusters, to build structure and extract flavor. Following fermentation, the wine is aged for approximately 11 months in a combination of oak barrels, foudre, and demi-muids, then finished with three months in tanks before bottling.
