Pascal’s parcel is in the lower part of the vineyard, at the very north end, up against Les Plantes and Clos des Ormes. It is a stony vineyard, with plenty of angular gravels and cobbles in the red clay soils. Pascal says, “the stony soils provide excellent drainage. In summer, after the last plowing, and when the rain has ‘washed’ the surface of the soil, one has the impression that the vineyard has been paved with white rocks.”
William Kelley:
"The 2022 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Charmes was in quite a structured phase when I encountered it, unwinding in the glass with aromas of smoky berries, exotic spices and rose petals. Medium to full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with a velvety attack that segues into a vibrant mid-palate framed by sweet, powdery tannins, it's pure and penetrating."
