"Located in Saint-Patrice, one of the six villages in the Bourgueil appellation in the Loire Valley, this small 15-acre estate was created in 2009 by Xavier Courant. Firmly dedicate to the principles of organic/biodynamic agriculture, Courant has planted mostly Cabernet Franc, with a little more than two acres given over to Chenin Blanc. Made 100% of Cab Franc, “Merci La Vie” is Courant’s celebration of the work of one of his favorite filmmakers, Bertrand Blier. This is an honest, authentic representation of Bourgueil, fresh and fruity, with fine elegant tannins"
