Founded in 2020 by Hugo Mathurin and Talloulah Dubourg, Domaine de Cassiopée is a rising star in southern Burgundy's Maranges region, focused on crafting high-energy, low-intervention wines from organically farmed plots. The 'En Gerlieus' Bourgogne Aligoté is sourced from a single 0.9-hectare parcel in Chassey-le-Camp, where exceptionally old vines ranging from 40 to 100 years grow on clay-limestone soils. This specific site is characterized by its cool microclimate, northeast exposure, and proximity to wild forestland, which preserves the wine's signature mineral tension and sharp acidity. Through aging in both neutral oak and terracotta amphorae, the estate highlights the "crushed rock" purity of this unique terroir.
