Domaine Danjou-Banessy is an artisanal, biodynamic estate managed by brothers Benoît and Sébastien Danjou in the Roussillon region of southern France. The family has deep roots in the area's winemaking history, originally specializing in traditional fortified Rancio wines before expanding into premium, terroir-driven still wines. They farm ancient, low-yielding vines using strictly organic practices to preserve the raw expression of their rugged, sun-drenched landscape. For their acclaimed "Coste" white bottling, they source 100% Macabeu grapes from a specific three-hectare plot featuring ancient clay-limestone soils strewn with smooth river stones. This unique vineyard site, combined with minimal-intervention winemaking and old neutral oak aging, delivers a final wine defined by intense salinity, vibrant acidity, and profound mineral depth.
