Domaine Cottenceau is an exciting, young estate located in the Côte Chalonnaise region of Burgundy, France. Established in 2021, the winery is run by Maxime Cottenceau, a talented young winemaker who trained under the legendary Vincent Dureuil-Janthial. Maxime farms his old vines organically, following the lunar calendar to respect the natural rhythm of the land. His meticulous, low-intervention approach in both the vineyard and the cellar results in beautifully precise, mineral-driven white wines that perfectly express the unique limestone soils of Montagny.
"Les Dazes" is an east-facing vineyard plot located in the southern part of the Montagny appellation. It features 45-year-old vines planted in deep clay soils mixed with chalky, fossil-rich Jurassic limestone. This unique terroir catches the gentle morning sun, giving the grapes a perfect balance of rich depth and bright, mineral-driven energy.
