Notes from Becky Wasserman & Co.:

"3 plots in Queue de Hareng in Brochon, 3 plots in Vignois, 1 plot in Créole. Limestone and clay soils, eastern expositions at about 300m altitude. Planted in 1952, sustainably farmed. 100% de-stemmed, crushed, ambient yeast fermentation. Aged 16-18 months in barrels (25% new)."

This is the same wine that used to be labeled as Cote de Nuits Villages. The INAO reorganized boundaries and this area is now classified as Fixin. It is the vines the CDNV has been for years.
