Diego Conterno is a family-run winery in Monforte d'Alba, crafting elegant Barolo wines since Diego established the estate in 2003. He and his son Stefano practice traditional, organic winemaking to produce wines that express the unique character of their terroir. After leaving Conterno-Fantino to return to a more traditional style, Diego brought with him a prestigious plot in the Ginestra cru, one of Monforte's finest vineyards. Together, they create Barolo known for blending the power of Monforte with the elegance of traditional techniques.
Nebbiolo is sourced from three estate vineyards in Monforte d'Alba: Bricco San Pietro, San Giovanni, and Ginestra. These sites, with their clay and limestone marl soils, are vinified separately before being blended.
