About the producer:

Bodega Aranleon farms organically in the Utiel Requena DO in Valencia. Here, little known Bobal is the chief red grape, more often found in blends. Aranleon's varietal version of Bobal highlights the high elevation vineyards of Utiel Requena, giving the wine aromatic lift, freshness and ample acidity.

Flor impressions:

While mainly used as a blending grape, this Bobal is making the case for more monovarietal examples. Highly aromatic with notes of strawberry compote, red plums, leather, graphite, and dried basil. The palate displays a lively acidity and lean, slighly silky texture. The finish displays a light velvetty tannic touch with lasting earthy, herbal and slightly smoky impressions.
