Benjamin Leroux is a highly-respected négociant and vigneron based in Beaune, widely considered one of Burgundy's most talented winemakers. After managing the prestigious Domaine du Comte Armand for 15 years, he established his own label in 2007, building a reputation for precise, elegant, and vibrant wines. Leroux meticulously sources grapes from top growers, while also farming his own estate holdings organically and biodynamically. His expansive portfolio offers a transparent expression of the Côte d'Or's diverse terroirs, from village-level wines to Grand Crus.

The highest 1^er Cru in Meursault, this could also be labelled "Meursault 1^er Cru Blagny" as it is in the hamlet located between Meursault and Puligny. These Chardonnay vines planted in Ben's parcel are on the uppermost part of the hill, while the part below is planted to Pinot Noir (and bottled as Blagny 1^er Cru La Pièce Sous le Bois).

"Fresh lemon in colour. The bouquet shows the hillside to good effect. There is significant weight on the palate, some well ripened apples, retaining a sense of the limestone base, a well-constructed finish and very persistent. Drink from 2029-2034. Tasted Oct 2025."
