Established in 1670, Weingut Taubenschuss is a fifth-generation family winery located in the Weinviertel region of Austria, run today by brothers Markus and Thomas Taubenschuss. The Taubenschuss family has a long history of innovation, including being one of the first in Austria to bottle their own wines back in 1941. Embracing a holistic approach to viticulture, the winery is committed to natural and sustainable farming practices, using organic compost and grazing sheep in their vineyards to promote biodiversity. This philosophy, combined with hand-selected grapes and a minimal-intervention style in the cellar, results in pure, regionally characteristic wines known for their distinct minerality and dense character.

Sourced from the Ried Maxendorf vineyard, which has a soil composition of clay and loess
