Established in 2004 by the renowned Familia Torres, Pago del Cielo represents the family's first winemaking venture in Spain outside of their native Catalonia. The winery is situated in Fompedraza at nearly 900 meters above sea level, the highest elevation in the Ribera del Duero appellation, where extreme diurnal temperature shifts produce exceptionally aromatic and fresh red wines. Under the direction of winemaker Juan Ramón García, the estate focuses on expressing the unique high-altitude terroir through modern, elegant interpretations of Tinto Fino (Tempranillo). The project has since expanded to include white wine production from estate vineyards in the nearby Rueda region.
