Based in the Grand Cru village of Verzy, Champagne Mouzon Leroux is a storied family estate that has grown grapes in the Montagne de Reims since 1776. Ninth-generation winemaker Sébastien Mouzon transitioned the 8.5-hectare estate to full organic and biodynamic farming in 2008, establishing it as a pioneer in "vitiforestry" by planting thousands of trees and aromatic herbs among the vines. The domaine is uniquely dedicated to biodiversity, utilizing sheep for winter grazing and horses for plowing to preserve soil health. In the cellar, Mouzon follows a low-intervention philosophy—including spontaneous fermentations and minimal sulfur—to produce precise, mineral-driven champagnes that authentically express their northern terroir.
