Founded in 2004 by winemaker Luís Louro, son of the legendary Miguel Louro of Quinta do Mouro, Adega do Monte Branco is located in the heart of Estremoz, Alentejo. The winery blends traditional Portuguese viticulture with modern, sustainable practices, utilizing a sleek, minimalist facility built in 2006 that overlooks the historic Estremoz castle. Across 48 hectares of vineyards, Louro focuses on expressing the unique local terroir by combining grapes from both schist and limestone soils to create wines known for their concentration, freshness, and authenticity. Their portfolio ranges from the accessible and fruit-forward Alento line to the complex, age-worthy Monte Branco flagships.
