Winemaker Dominique Moreau named her estate, Marie Courtin, in honor of her grandmother whom she describes as a “woman of the earth”. The aspiration of this winery goes beyond expressing terroir but are instead guided by a spirituality that’s kept close at hand. Much like the Burgundian philosophies that drive many of today’s exciting Côte des Bar producers, the focus here is on single vineyard, single vintage, single variety, low dosage Champagnes. Sélection Massale is employed to naturally keep the yields low.

" 100% Pinot Noir from massale selection. Single parcel in Polisot on Kimmeridgian limestone. Vinified with  and aged in stainless steel. Yeasts cultivated from estate vines are used for both primary and secondary fermentations."
