Notes from Becky Wasserman & Co.:
"A complantation of Riesling, Gewurztraminer and Pinot Noir, Jeu des Verts (Game of Greens) is the translation of Gruenspiel, the terroir this wine comes from. The Deiss family uses the French translation of their terroirs’ names for their predominantly skin-contact wines and keep the Alsatian names for their predominantly non-skin-contact versions.
Located in Bergheim, Gruenspiel is an early-ripening, south-facing amphitheater that overlooks the crus of Ribeauvillé. It is composed of alluvial deposits of sandstone, granite, and gneiss gravels over deep Keuper marls."
