Hervé Rafflin is a fourth-generation grower based in the Montagne de Reims, where he meticulously farms just five hectares across the Premier Cru villages of Ludes, Chigny-les-Roses, Rilly-la-Montagne, and Taissy. Known for a "garage wine" approach to Champagne, Rafflin focuses on low-intervention viticulture and precise, small-batch production to highlight the purity of his terroir.
For the 'La Nature'L' cuvée, he primarily sources from these 1er Cru sites, placing a heavy emphasis on Pinot Meunier, which typically makes up 80% of the blend. This dominant Meunier backbone is balanced by roughly 15% Chardonnay and 5% Pinot Noir, resulting in a wine that is both structurally elegant and expressive of its northern chalky origins.
