Emilien Feneuil is an artisanal grower based in the Montagne de Reims village of Sermiers, where he took over his family’s estate in 2006 and transitioned it to strictly organic and biodynamic farming. He treats his estate as a wild ecosystem, practicing extreme biodiversity by planting oak, hazel, and fruit trees directly among the vines to naturally lower yields and intensify grape quality. The fruit for his 'Blanc de Blancs' Chardonnay is sourced across six micro-parcels spanning the Premier Cru terroirs of Sermiers and Chamery. These unique sites feature sandy-loam topsoils layered over deep, chalky bedrock, which infuses the grapes with a distinct, salt-tinged minerality. Driven by a low-intervention philosophy, Feneuil crafts deeply textured, raw, and soulful Champagnes fermented entirely with native yeasts in oak barrels.
