About the producer:
Domaine Michel Prunier was founded by Michel and his wife, Michele, in 1968. For decades, they focused on farming their own fruit in the communes of Auxey Duresses, Meursault, Volnay, Pommard, Beaune and Chorey-les-Beaune. In 2004, Michel was joined by his daughter, Estelle. They produce exceptional Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs at relatively accessible price points, given the villages they grow fruit in.
About the cuvee:
Though a humble Bourgogne Blanc, all of the fruit that goes into this entry level cuvee comes from Auxey Duresses. Extremely expressive on the nose, aromas of white pepper, clove and nutmeg mingle with more subtle caramel and vanilla. Bright acidity pairs nicely with zesty lime and lemon flavors, while a mineral-driven finish delivers the hallmark of Burgundy.
