Domaine Lafarge was run for the last 60 years by the legendary Michel Lafarge and nowadays is run by his son Frédéric assisted by his wife Chantal, and daughter Clothilde. This domaine is famous for producing some of the greatest traditional Volnays, from biodynamic farmed vineyards.

"The 2023 Volnay 1er Cru Les Caillerets includes the first year of production of a new planting, trellised in a helix and cultivated by horse. Offering up pretty aromas of orange zest, red berries and potpourri, it's medium-bodied, supple and fine-boned, with a lively, elegant profile."

"A full and quite deep crimson. The nose has restrained class, keeping itself to itself, while the palate is exceptional. With a mineral lift at the back after a superb velvet cloth which sweeps right across the palate. A touch of liquorice at the finish shows the late summer sunshine."
