Sergio's Pick

"La Quille de Rouge" is a vibrant expression of the Fer Servadou grape, offering a rustic yet polished profile of tart blackberries and wild red currants. The palate is defined by a distinct iron-like minerality and a hint of peppery spice, finishing with the variety’s signature "pine-fresh" lift. It is bottled unfined and unfiltered, preserving a crunchy, energetic texture that makes it incredibly approachable.

Domaine des Boissières is the passion project of Marc Fraysse, a young winemaker who returned to his family’s roots in the Aveyron region of Southwest France in 2017. Located in the village of Balsac, the estate focuses on low-intervention viticulture across small, steep parcels characterized by iron-rich "rougier" soils. By combining traditional hand-harvesting with modern natural winemaking techniques, Fraysse has quickly become a standout producer in the Marcillac appellation.
