Located in Garons near Nîmes, Domaine de Rapatel has been in the Eyraud family since 1904 and is currently helmed by Gérard Eyraud, a pioneer of the natural wine movement. The estate operates out of a historic 13th-century barn, where Eyraud practices a "clean maniac" philosophy to produce wines entirely without added sulfites or chemicals. He is renowned for his patient winemaking style, often aging wines in fiberglass tanks for several years until he deems them perfectly ready for release. Today, the domaine is celebrated for its deep, complex expressions of the Gard terroir, crafted from vines that have been farmed organically for decades.
