Domaine de Pallus is a historic, family-owned winery located in the Cravant-les-Côteaux area of Chinon, in the Loire Valley. Led by fifth-generation winemaker Bertrand Sourdais, the estate practices biodynamic farming to express its unique terroir. The vineyards for the "Les Messanges" cuvée, named for the local term for Cabernet Franc, are from younger vines planted in the sandy, silex-rich Clos de Briançon site near the Vienne river. This particular soil, along with the youthful vines, results in a wine made for early accessibility and a fresh, fruit-forward style.
