Domaine de la Guicharde is a 40 hectare estate in the Southern Rhone Valley that has been in operation for over 50 years. A diverse farming enterprise, they also grow and produce olive oil as well as various fruits and nuts. They conduct all of their farming via Biodynamic methods, and have been certified since 2010. Across all cuvees, we have found Guicharde's wines to present exceptional values for their quality levels.
Their Massif d'Uchaux cuvee is a blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah. All grapes are fully destemmed, and fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks by indigenous yeasts. The wine is then aged in stainless steel for an additional two years to allow its tannins to soften and flavors to harmonize.
