"Amélie Berthaut received an impressive array of vineyards from her mother and father who owned and managed separate family domaines. The newly-baptized Domaine Berthaut-Gerbet includes all the vineyards of Domaine Denis Berthaut and parts of the vineyards of Domaine François Gerbet, totaling 16 hectares located in the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits, in the villages of Fixin, Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle-Musigny, Vougeot, and Vosne-Romanée."

 On the plateau above Nuits St Georges and Vosne Romanée, shallow clay and limestone soil. Vines planted in 1970. 

Wine Advocate:

The 2023 Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Rouge offers up pretty aromas of plums, berries and spices, followed by a medium-bodied, supple and saline palate. Lighter and more immediate than its 2022 predecessor, this delicate, fine-boned red will drink well young.
