Wines Scheduled To Arrive In Late October
Notes from Becky Wasserman & Co.:
"3 plots in Queue de Hareng in Brochon, 3 plots in Vignois, 1 plot in Créole. Limestone and clay soils, eastern expositions at about 300m altitude. Planted in 1952, sustainably farmed. 100% de-stemmed, crushed, ambient yeast fermentation. Aged 16-18 months in barrels (25% new)."
Wine Advocate:
"The 2023 Côte de Nuits-Villages is especially good (as of next year, it will become Fixin, but the vineyard won't change). Exhibiting aromas of blackberries, mulberries, licorice and spices, it's medium to full-bodied, layered and textural, with excellent concentration and a long finish."
