Collestefano was founded in 1998 when winemaker Fabio Marchionni took over his family’s estate in the high-altitude Matelica valley of Marche, Italy. Certified organic since its inception, the estate is dedicated almost exclusively to the Verdicchio grape, grown in a unique, cool microclimate with sharp diurnal temperature shifts. Marchionni favors a minimalist winemaking approach, avoiding oak and extended skin contact to preserve the grape's signature laser-like acidity and intense mineral purity. Today, the winery is globally recognized as a benchmark producer for crisp, age-worthy, and terroir-driven Italian whites.
