Champagne Gimonnet-Gonet was founded in 1986 by Philippe Gimonnet and Anne Gonet, who both come from long lines of winemaking families in the Champagne region. After marrying and seeing their older siblings inherit their respective family estates, they combined their names and deep-rooted passion to create their own house. In 2012, their son Charles joined the business, and today he oversees the viticulture and winemaking, continuing the family's legacy of crafting high-quality, terroir-driven Champagnes. The small, family-run estate has expanded over the decades, now encompassing 13.5 hectares of vines.
The Chardonnay for the 'L'Origine' is sourced from the family's vineyards in the Grand Cru villages of the Côte des Blancs, including Oiry, Chouilly, Oger, Cramant, and Le-Mesnil-sur-Oger. The vines have an average age of 35 to 40 years, contributing to the wine's concentration and complexity.

Winemaking
Fermentation occurs in 100% stainless steel vats, and the cuvée includes 30-45% reserve wines. The Champagne then undergoes secondary fermentation and ages on its lees in the bottle for 22 to 36 months, bottled as Brut with a dosage of 6g/L.
