Bow & Arrow winemaker Scott Frank produces low intervention wines in the Willamette Valley. Though Cabernet Sauvignon is rarely found in the valley, he has been working with Cabernet fruit from the Borgo Pass vineyard for several years, typically blending the fruit with Cabernet Franc in the popular Air Guitar cuvee. 2021 is, according to their website, "the first and last time Borgo Pass Cabernet Sauvignon will be bottled as a single varietal wine!"
Genuine cool climate Cabernet, it clocks in at 12.5% ABV with classically typical flavors of fresh cassis with leafy, herbal accents. Aged in a single Bordeaux barrique for 14 months, followed by 7 months of bottle aging prior to release. With just one barrel made, only 24 cases are available.
