Established in 1994 by Brian and Jill O'Donnell on a historic 1840s farmstead, Belle Pente is a boutique Willamette Valley winery dedicated to organic and biodynamic viticulture. Their winemaking philosophy centers on a 3-level gravity-flow system designed to minimize fruit manipulation and preserve the natural elegance of the Yamhill-Carlton terroir. The 'Estate Reserve' Pinot Noir is meticulously selected from the vineyard’s oldest and most prestigious blocks: the original 1994 planting and a steep, southwest-facing section planted in 1998. These prime sites, characterized by shallow marine sedimentary (Willakenzie) soils, produce the winery's most complex and age-worthy expression of Pinot Noir.
