Notes from the producer:

"This is Pinot Blanc unlike any other! It is actually a rare mutation of Pinot Noir discovered by Henri Gouges in one of his vineyards in Nuit St George almost 100 years ago. Henri propagated the cuttings, and now has 3 small parcels totaling less than one hectare!

Somehow plant material made it's way to Oregon, and a small block is planted in the RPG vineyard in Eola-Amity which is now under the stewardship of our friend David Paige. Dave had a little surplus fruit in 2022, and offered to sell us some. Although we are not generally fans of Pinot Blanc, we are most definitely fans of Pinot Gouges (as this selection is often called) and jumped at the opportunity. The grapes we lightly crushed, pressed, and barrel fermented (25% new)."
