Notes from Barton & Guestier:
"Prince Noir was the nickname of Edward de Woodstock. Grown up in a chivalrous spirit, he led the Aquitaine and contributed to the fortune of Bordeaux from 1362 to 1372. Since 1919, Prince Noir has been the first iconic Bordeaux brand.
Hailing from the oceanic, mild and humid climate of Bordeaux, this blend is intense red garnet in colour. Very aromatic with lot of ripe red and black fruits (black cherry, redcurrant, wild strawberry), enhanced with warm notes of spices (cinnamon, black pepper). Nice structure, well balanced with silky tannins. The palate is generous and powerful, with a pleasant fruity aftertaste.
Best paired with red meats, cheese like ripe Camembert, pâté, red and black fruits desserts. Best served between 16°C and 18°C / 61°F and 64°F."
