COS is the benchmark producer in the Vittoria region and among the most highly regarded in all of Sicily. While their reds can best be described as Sicily’s answer to Cru Beaujolais, their white and orange wines best reflect the island’s unique volcanic-influenced terroir. With under 2 weeks skin contact, Rami is a fresher style of orange wine. Enticing aromas of grapefruit oil, lemon pith, white peach, and sight marzipan greet you from the glass. On the palate, its fresh acid profile carries a mineral-forward juicy/slightly oily texture with dried herbs and floral touches before a mild tannic grip finishes on a lengthy briny, slightly smoky note.
