Frédéric Savart comes from a long line of winemakers and has been in charge of the domaine since 2005. Savart works almost exclusively with Pinot Noir from the Premier Cru’s Ecueil and Villers-aux-Noeuds in the Montagne de Reims. These terroirs produce rich textured wines that have become the house style.
Le Mont Benoit (made a household name by Emmanuel Brochet) is a single parcel in Villers-aux-Noeuds. Fred’s plot is 95% Pinot Noir, and 5% Chardonnay. The dosage is 3g/L.
