Du Grappin was founded by Andrew and Emma Nielsen in 2011, a boutique micro-négoce operation based out of an ancient cellar in Beaune, Burgundy. They are dedicated to producing minimal-intervention, vin de soif style wines by handcrafting small batches from under-appreciated, high-quality vineyards. For their vibrant 'Lardons' Beaujolais-Villages, they source 100% Gamay grapes from a high-altitude, late-ripening parcel nestled within the Fleurie cru. This specific plot features unique pink granite and white quartz soils that lend the wine its striking mineral backbone and inspire its playful name. By working closely with local growers who practice sustainable viticulture, Du Grappin successfully coaxes the truest expression of this specific terroir into every bottle.
